Thanksgiving

It is hard to believe that it is already the holiday season- it seems like this year is going by extremely fast! We spent Thanksgiving Day with Dave's family and friends enjoying good company, food, and a Broncos' victory. Thanksgiving is always a time for us to reflect and give thanks. This year we are thankful for our upcoming bundle of joy and the ability to enjoy the holiday season with family and friends.
(Thanksgiving Day - 35 weeks)

Each year we have a tradition of decorating our house for the holiday season the weekend of Thanksgiving and this year was no exception. On Friday we took advantage of the beautiful weather (we were back in the 60's) and went Christmas tree shopping. It was Dave's year to pick out a tree and he picked out a native Colorado Pine. We spent Saturday night decorating the tree and here is our family photo in front of the tree.

Sparky & Snowballs

We received another foot of snow this weekend creating a winter wonderland here in Colorado. We were grateful that the snow held off until after our "Baby Safe" class in which Dave, Melissa, John, Stacie, Chris, and Byron learned about infant safety and practiced CPR. This week we will complete our baby class marathon with a breast feeding class on Wednesday night. If this pattern of weather continues we will have a good chance of being able to tell Claire stories about how she was born in the middle of a snowstorm.

Sparky loves the snow & one of his favorite winter activites is to catch snowballs. We caught a little of the action this morning during our walk.

Bikes, Beer & Baby Showers

Today we celebrated Claire's upcoming arrival with our friends and family! Dave and the boys headed out to the moutain bike trails (70 degree days this week have made all the snow disappear!) before heading to the local Pub. Melissa celebrated with the ladies at a baby shower thrown by Jessica & Amy.

Thank you for all the well wishes, advice, and gifts for Claire! We cannot wait to use them with her in the very near future.
