Claire goes to New England!

On Saturday July 24th we took our first family trip back to New England to visit with Melissa's family and our friends. We have had a busy week seeing everyone and introducing Claire to things Melissa did as a child. We had a slight accident with the camera and video camera as they decided to check out the Atlantic ocean, so while they are drying out we are a little short
on photos and videos.

Enjoying the Lovejoy's pool- thanks for creating some waves to surf Kelly and Alexis!
Yummy Lobster Rolls on the deck in Portsmouth with the Grandparents. A few nights before we had shared a great dinner at this same restaurant with one of Dave's DKE brothers Pete, his wife Theresa and their daughter Isabella (somehow we did not get a picture of them together), and my niece Emily.

Claire and Brandon saying goodbye! After a fun week in Maine/New Hampshire it was time to head to Boston for a weekend with the Simmons ladies and Christine & Brian's wedding.

We also met up with another one of Dave's DKE brothers, his wife Sara and their son Liam.

We had a great time introducing Claire to my family and a whole lot of East Coast Families!

4th of July Weekend

For the long weekend we headed to Salt Lake City, Utah to visit Dave's Great Aunt Grace. It was Claire's first plane ride and we are happy to report that she did great! She enjoyed looking out the windows and taking a nap on the short 1 hour flight. We are hopeful that this will we be the same when we fly to Boston at the end of the month.
Claire met her Great Great Aunt Grace who is 102 years old.
While we were there we hit the Hogle Zoo for a few hours and Claire was treated to a baby elephant and this fun Capy- who came over to see Claire up close.
Claire also met her Great Aunt Carol

We returned home on Monday and were treated to fireworks that had been rained out on the 4th. As you can see from her smile Claire enjoyed the show.
