Happy Easter 2011

Despite the fact that Melissa was recovering from surgery, we had a very busy Easter weekend. On Friday night we headed out to catch the Yo! Mama's & Papa's concert with some friends. On Saturday it was off to tumbling before heading to meet the Easter Bunny and take part in the town Easter Egg Hunt. Claire really loved collecting the eggs!

Then it was back home to decorate our bunny cake, Claire did a great job with the coconut application.

Uncle John & Miss Stacie joined us for an afternoon of egg decorating, Claire enjoyed the dying process and was amazed that a white egg went in and a beautiful bright egg came out.

On Sunday we went to our outdoor Church service before heading over to Miss Mary & Mr. Clint's house for Easter Brunch. We enjoyed catching up with Kristen and Claire had a blast finding the eggs we were continuously hiding throughout the house. After a nap for Claire and Mommy we headed over to Grandparent Gibbons house for Easter Dinner with the Kernan Family and yet another hunt for eggs.

Since Claire enjoys hunting for the eggs so much, we have continued to have hunts most nights this week. This is a video from one of these hunts. It is worth having your volume up for this one- her excitement is bound to make you smile!

We Have Teeth!

Just short of Claire turning 16 months that long awaited first tooth has arrived! When we were feeding her yogurt last night the spoon kept hitting something and when we were done we checked it out and it was a tooth. It was surprising to us as we had expected their to be signs that she was teething, but other than waking up a few times during the night this past week she really has just been her happy self. We're not expecting all of her teeth to come in this painlessly, but we are grateful that her first one has not been dramatic for her. We'll post a picture of her new smile once the tooth is fully in.
