Claire Rolling for the camera!

Back in March Claire started to roll over, however we were never able to catch it on video and apparently she decided that she wasn't going to do it anymore. We have been waiting for her to perform this milestone again for some time and tonight she decided that it was time to pull that trick out again and let us capture it on video.

First Trip to the Zoo

Today we met our friends Barry, Natalia and Alba at the zoo for a fun filled afternoon on a beautiful Colorado Sunday! We enjoyed a great picnic and seeing some cool animals up close. We can't wait to go back in a few weeks to get a peek at Denver's newest addition a baby giraffe.

April 2010

Since we are a little behind on posting, we are combining a few big events into one post for your reading & viewing enjoyment!

Week of April 5th

We started off the week with the arrival of Christian and Kristen for a week visit! We all enjoyed the visit and the fun places that we were able to show them. We spent 4 days in the

mountains and Claire seemed to enjoy all the outdoor activities including taking rides in her new BOB off road jogging stroller.

There was also a big milestone for Claire this week- the introduction of Rice Cereal! Claire actually seems to like it and although a lot landed on her bib a decent amount made it into her tummy.

Week of April 12th

This was a big week in the Gibbons' house as it was Melissa's first week back at work and Claire's first week at school. Claire started at Primrose on Monday morning and we are happy to report that she had a great week. We received feedback from the school that she was a sweet and easy baby.

In addition to introducing the rice cereal we have been working with Claire on using a sippy cup. She still wears quite a bit of the milk, but she is getting to be a pro at how to use the cup.

Happy Easter

Today we took Claire to her first Easter Egg Hunt, met the Easter bunny, and decorated eggs! Tomorrow we will be heading to the outdoor service in the morning, having dinner with the Gibbons and then it is off to the airport to pick up Christian and Kristen for their week in Colorado!

On Tuesday March 30th Claire had her 4 month old checkup. Her new stats are:

Weight: 11 lbs 1 oz (8th%) - up 5 lbs 1 oz from birth
Height: 21 inches (33rd%)- 2 1/2 inches longer than at birth
Head: 16.5 inches (17th%)- 3 1/2 inches larger

We also attended what could be our last My Gym Class on Thursday. Claire played on all of her favorite toys, was "shot out of a canon", and enjoyed a conversation with her friend Delaney.

Three Months

On March 6th Claire hit the 3 month old mark! It has been a busy month for us and therefore we are a little behind on postings.

• We kicked off the month by taking Claire to get her 3 month photos taken at Hassler Photography. We made it through the photos with only a few minor breakdowns. The photos came out beautiful and you can check them out at:http://hasslerphoto.zenfolio.com/p338055160 Password: Claire

• We also celebrated Melissa's Birthday- her first as a mommy!
• Then Jessica (a friend from grad school at UNCG) came to visit for a few days. It was great to have her here and Claire enjoyed getting to meet her and have lots of cuddle time and story time with Miss Jessica! The visit was over much too soon and we are looking forward to seeing Jessica and Willis soon (perhaps at a wedding in which they are the bride and groom??)

• Then came St. Patty's Day in which Claire celebrated her inner Irish with this adorable outfit and hanging out in her Bumbo.

• On Thursday Claire took her daddy to My Gym for the first time. Also our friend Jessica Yoo joined us for the class. Over the past several weeks we have grown to love My Gym more and more! Claire loves trying new things like the fireman ladder, the train, parachute rides, among other things. Here she is during circle time and on the log roll.
